KES (1969) Film Giclée Print

£18.99 - £28.99

A print design for the classic 1969 UK film 'KES' directed by Ken Loach. The film is based on the book 'A Kestral for a Knave' written by Barry Hines.

The design aims to reflect the storyline, themes, and central characters in a bold, minimal, graphical style.

The miners helmet and colliery silhouette reflect the South Yorkshire (Barnsley) mining industry which is the location of the film. Whilst within the helmet lamp sits a stylised icon of a bird (KES).

Frame not included.

***Print Care***

On receipt of a print it is best to carefully remove it from the tube, loosen the tissue paper and leave it to unroll for a couple of hours before adding it to your frame of choice. Also be careful not to touch the artwork print too much.

Giclée Prints (longer lasting quality)
Giclées are printed using pigment-based inks rather than dye-based inks that are found in lower-cost inkjets. Pigment-based inks have a longer lifespan: they can last anywhere from 100 - 200 years without significant fading.

Museum-quality print, printed on long-lasting smooth matte paper with a light, fine-grain surface texture (weight 240gsm).

Item sent in rigid spiral-wound cardboard tubes with compostable tube ends.
Plastic-free packaging.
